Have you ever designed something which didn’t meet the needs of the client?
I bet there is a lot out there, hidden in various folders on your hard drive or wherever you store your work. But there is no need to let your unseen work rot. I got a tip of a colleague yesterday, to a site where you can sell all that leftovers. Old designs, different version of your designs … and so on.
I think as it of an good opportunity to get at least a little bit money in for all the hours you spent.
I haven’t submitted anything yet, but if I find some time i definitlty will. So check it out.

In the last couple of days/weeks I kept thinking about the best way to remember all the stuff I have to do during the day. Especially on how to organise my day at work without having to look for all the various bits and pieces of information spread out on diffrent bits of paper.
Due to the fact I’am a proud owner of an iPhone now, I wanted the application to be able to sync with it as well. So I started my search in the App Store. Loads and Loads of applications, but for most of them you either have to pay or you get a Lite version which is just bs.
But finally I found RTM (remember the milk) which is a great application for the iPhone, is also accessible via web, you can sync it (which is the most important) and you can even have it running in offline mode (enabled by google gears).

The thing is: You can just use it with your iPhone for 15 days for free. After that you have to upgrade to a PRO version, of which I’m not sure what it does better (it might be just supporting the rtm-team and the abillity to use the iphone app of course). 25$ pro membership for 1 year. I am thinking of buying it. Not sure yet.
Do you know a better application?
Btw. at work I’m using ThinkRock which is an open source approach (you can see it is open source : )) ).
So how are you keeping your tasks together?
For my second post I’m presentiong a concept of a logo-design which I did today. It is for an event management company whisch wanted to have kind of an crest as a logo. Unfortunately I just checked my mails and tehy replied: it reminded them more of an flower-shop. I cant blame them, there are quite a few flowerish elements in there. So. First thing tomorrow: More regal(royal), crown-like and some ropes hanging around.
BUT what do you think of the current concept. I’m keen to get your opinion.

To make my life more interesting : )), or just for fun I decided to challange myself for one month to write blog article regularly. This means, that from now on, at least for one month, you will be provided with a new photo, article, link or sth. else interesting, every new day.
It is quite a challange for me, because as you know I am a bit lazy regarding regularity. So stay tuned.
To start over, I’m posting a picture and I would like you to guess the meaning or identify the items. (i know there is a hat but what is it meant for). Feel free to go wild : )).

1/31 what can you see
What an busy weekend.
But before I get there I need to say that not much had happened in the last few weeks and that’s the reason for my few blog posts. Work, home, work, home…..
So. As you know last weekend I purchased my new iPhone and I like it. I might post more images in future. It’s really easy doing so with the phone. And to begin with I am posting an image of the sushi bar we went to yesterday. All-u-can-eat!!! Which is really rare to find around here. Normally you need to pay per dish, starting from £1.10 to £5.50 (or so). However, at ‘Hi Sushi’ in Soho/London we got everything for £16.80/person. It might feel much for all-u-can-eat but it is not. At least not here. So we really stuffed ourselfs. Wonderful. You sit on the floor (kind of).
And to digestive all the food me and sonja cleaned our room. I hated it. Work on Sundays : (( Hopefully we go for a coffee later on.

And I did it. I bought myself an iPhone 3g. Wohoo. And the word press plugin is cool as well.
So, in future you will see me blogging from my iPhone. : ))
Muha. I am typing a blog post on an iPhone at the apple store in westfields shopping centre! I want one!!!!!!!!
I managed to get myself to write another post. Juhuuu. So what has happened?
I’m not really sure but it was a lot. I guess. First of all, I finished the design to the new homepage which I was talking about in my last blog. You can have a look on the static version of it here. Now it is up to our developer to make it alive. I’ll tell you when it is done.
Easter. I spend the “holiday” - actually it just had been four days - here in the UK. But not in London, which was a good decision regarding the weather (rainy, cloudy … awful). So me and Sonja decided to rent a car. Hurray, driving here in the UK is a bit more difficult than back home, as you all know. So it was quite a challenge on the first few miles kilometers. But we learned quickly and it was great fun in the end, almost. We explored the south-west of Great Britain and it was lovely. Wonderful weather. So our route (if anyone wants to look it up on Google maps click here) started in London, via Bath (a old roman city), Cheddar (you can find caves and kind of mountains there, nothing to be compared with our Austrian ones, but still), Plymouth (lovely city at the sea), Torquay (at the sea as well) and Stonehenge on our way back home. Thank god we bought us a SatNav (GPS Navigation System) before we went on our journey.
And now some images. *hurraaaayyyy*

Heyyy there,
jap, again, it has been a while. I apologize for that, to everyone who is following my blog once in a while (not sure if there is anyone : )) ).
Well, it has been a busy time. Work work work, every day the same. But it is fun. Quite cool environment at work. At the moment I am working on a redesign of the company’s website. The current one doesn’t really attract new customers so they made me doing it. I might post some screenshots of the concept in the next couple of days. Besides I am still working on the web shop and the print production (brochure 70k examples). I also did a pitch for a website featuring a yacht in Monaco, but somehow this customer disappeared (not because of my design). It was fun though, and it makes good in my portfolio.
Besides work I regularly spend the weekend somewhere in London. Hyde Park, Regents Park or central London. Not much at the moment. But I have to keep track, because the time passes by very quickly here and the three month will be over soon. Anyway, hopefully I can stay some time longer. Yah, we have been out in the city last weekend to check out some bars, pups and so. It wasn’t really successful though. For the most of them you had to pay to get in, up to 15 Pounds, and that’s just too much if you are on a budget, but we won’t give up. I definitely want to find some cool places to go to. So if you know one please feel free to tell me!!! :))
So that’s it again. But I promise to upload some screenshots of the work I did plus some new photos of London in the next couple of days.
And leave a note if you want to, it’s great to hear from you guys.
